Spending time with Brian’s work can be like stumbling on an evolving story, and it is intriguingly unclear as to whether we have arrived at the aftermath of an event, or if we have caught the action at an indeterminate, yet possibly pivotal point. A deceptive simplicity haunts his prints, as initial impressions are immediately interrupted by the teeming ideas that await within the confines of his frame. Brian’s expert handling of colour allows strong and primary shades to be underscored with the grace notes of more muted hues, and in this, as in their composition, they can be an inordinately accurate reflection of life as it is well lived.
An award winning artist, Brian is represented by leading galleries in Berlin, Tokyo and Los Angeles, and exhibits and is extensively collected around the world.
